Domitian, 81-96. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 30 mm, 13.19 g, 6 h), Rome, 85. IMP CAES DOMITIAN AVG GERM COS XI Radiate head of Domitian to right, wearing aegis. Rev. FIDEI PVBLICAE / S - C Fides standing front, head to left, holding basket of fruit in her upraised right hand and grain-ears in her left. BMC 306. Cohen 107. RIC 289. Attractive brown patina and with a fine portrait of Domitian. Old scrape on the reverse edge, otherwise, good very fine.

From an American collection, privately acquired from Edward J. Waddell and previously privately acquired from E. Gans on 30 January 1948 (with collector's ticket).
